System-wide
installation: Unzip
the archive in /usr/share/fonts/type1, run fc-cache as root and then
modify the configuration of your
xfs to read the directory /usr/share/fonts/type1/Kerkis-X11 by editing
the
file /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fs/config
Finally restart xfs (for example on a modern Linux system use
/etc/rc.d/init.d/xfs
restart).
The fonts will be available to newly started applications. For a test,
start
(or restart) OpenOffice.
